My mother always said leave a place better than you found it. And that is exactly what I am trying to do for the UCSB community and Isla Vista. I’ve lived off campus and have been subjected to random fees, horrible, moldy houses, and endless leases that make it that much harder to live near the college you attend. But also living in Isla Vista has shown me that I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. We just need to hold local officials accountable to address the problems actually affecting us. I want to work with local officials and listen to you all so that I can make a difference and help the change we all want to see. Thank you!
