STATEMENT

I’m Aaron Ramirez, a third-year Economics and Accounting major, transfer student, and someone who actually lives in university-owned housing. I’m not running because I want a title. I’m running because our apartment communities are treated like an afterthought, and I’m tired of it.

Your money should work for you, not for bureaucracy.Executive honoraria pay AS leadership $15,000 to $25,000 per year in student funds. I will vote to end it. Every dollar recovered goes directly to the AS Food Bank, mental health resources, and club funding. Leadership is a service, not a salary.

Your home should be safe.
I will fight to pass the Liz Hamel Campus Safety Act, mandating a full safety audit of every university-owned apartment complex, every railing, every walkway, every light. This is non-negotiable.

Inclusion means everyone.
Greek Life organizations including IFC, Panhellenic, USFC, and PFC pay into AS fees and deserve access to AS funding. Opening those doors lowers dues, strengthens chapters, and builds a more connected campus community.

Support where you actually live.
Free food distributions during midterms and finals. Therapy dog days at the apartment complexes, no trek to the UCen required. And a real-time financial dashboard so you can see exactly where every fee dollar goes, right from your phone.

I’m not a politician. I’m a student who studies how money works, and I’m ready to put that to use for you.

Vote Aaron Ramirez.
Accountability you can account for.
