STATEMENT
Transferring to UCSB was the best decision of my life. This school has given me so much, and I want to give back by serving as your Transfer Senator.
I have three primary goals as Senator and will work with others on a few more. First, I’m working with a team to implement a business major at UCSB. With the Technology Management Program (TMP), Strategic Investment Program (SIP), and robust Econ & Accounting coursework, we have the foundation to make it happen. Second, I plan to take a more proactive legal approach to improving housing conditions, especially in the dorms and Isla Vista. Third, I’ll push to expand academic tutoring access—increasing both the number of student tutors and available CLAS sessions across all subjects.
In addition to my main initiatives, I’ve been collaborating with fellow Senators on efforts to reduce student fees through budget assessment, support student-parents with additional services, and advocate for safe campus spaces for marginalized communities.
For some background on me, my passion for student leadership began in high school, where I served as ASB Head of Activities, organizing everything from homecoming to halftime shows. That same drive followed me to my first college where I joined club surfing, pickleball, School Spirit Crew, and served as President of the Management & Leadership Club. At UCSB, I founded and currently lead the Speech & Debate Team (come join us!) alongside other involvements.
Coming from a small four-year college, I realized I needed more—more opportunity, more challenge, and more community. UCSB gave me all of that and then some. Now a junior studying Economics & Accounting, I’ve found that some of the most meaningful experiences as a Gaucho have come outside the classroom. If elected, I’ll bring energy, experience, and a bold vision to help move UCSB forward. Let’s make this campus even better. Thank you!
