Yasmine  Suuck

Hi Gauchos! My name is Yasmine Suuck and I am both excited and honored to run to be your next off campus senator. I am a second year Political Science major with a minor in Earth Science. As a student, employee on campus, and member of various clubs I understand the different obstacles that many students face. Most importantly the time, hard work, and financial commitment that comes with being a student at UCSB. As a senator I want to prioritize solving housing issues, alleviating financial stressors including the cost of food, and boosting your voices in student government. This includes having direct contact with me as your representative. I am committed to being your voice including raising concerns and questions you feel are important.

Nevertheless I understand that many students struggle with accessibility to the programs that A.S. already offers. I want you to feel invited and encouraged to access the resources that are available to you as a student. These are resources that you are already funding with your own tuition. You are already paying for this, let's make it easier for you. My goal is to create an easy way to find events and programs that are offered throughout the quarter and provide access to resources for any needs that you have.

As your senator I will work to increase transparency within AS and serve as a medium for student change. I am proud to call UCSB my home and I hope to help our community now and into the future. Thank you for your support!
