Elad  Farahmandfar

Hey everyone!

I am Elad Farahmandfar and I am a third-year transfer student pursuing a degree in Communication and I am thrilled to be running for your very next Transfer Senator!

Throughout my time in community college, I was fortunate enough to discover my passion for empowering others and the community I am a part of. I spent over two years working as a full-time case manager for a personal injury law firm in my hometown, Los Angeles. Throughout my time at the firm, I learned the importance of ensuring individuals receive the justice they rightfully deserve, which is a commitment I vow to uphold for all transfer students.

For many people it can be challenging to transition into the community as a transfer student. I'm committed to making sure transfer students have every opportunity to discover and make the most of all the resources available to them.

My campaign centers around creating:
1. Priority university-owned housing allocations.
2. Organized events to introduce transfer students to each other and to other students who have successfully immersed themselves into the community.
3. Expedited major transfer forms and grade submissions to ensure students will not need to wait an extra quarter to enroll in upper-division courses due to the processing time for grade submissions.

I look forward to helping our transfer students smoothly transition into confident and successful Gauchos.
