Hey Gauchos!

My name is Tyler Ferguson. I’m a first-year political science major running to be YOUR next Off-Campus Senator with CAMPUS UNITED!

My qualifications:
- Class Vice President and Secretary in High School ASB, as well as LEADERSHIP roles in other various clubs, such as yearbook, newspaper, tennis, football, and theater.
- Floor Rep for Santa Rosa Hall Council, VOTING on how YOUR funds should be used to make your time BETTER at UCSB.
- CAMPAIGNED for a California State Assembly candidate, WORKED to ensure YOU have every OPPORTUNITY you deserve.

What I will do as Senator:
- Tackle FOOD INSECURITY by pushing for the acceptance of EBT/Food Stamps at convenience stores on campus and in IV since many stores still do not accept EBT.
- Make IV more SUSTAINABLE by INCREASING the number of trash cans, recycling bins, and compost bins.
- Promote ECONOMIC reform by striving to LOWER tuition costs and student fees.
- Increase SCHOLARSHIP opportunities for students.
- Strengthen the sense of community in Isla Vista by holding more community events
- Expand UCSB presence in IV by expanding CAPS resources in Isla Vista, as well as urging faculty to hold more office hours in Isla Vista.
- Make UCSB and IV SAFER by increasing resources for survivors of mental, physical, emotional, or sexual assault, as well as collaborating with UCPD.
- Listen to your needs and concerns in order to serve every UCSB student to the best of my ability.
