STATEMENT
Hello Gauchos!
My name is Alex Funk, a second year Computer Science major and Philosophy minor, and I am very excited to be running as your next College of Engineering senator with CAMPUS UNITED!
UCSB has become my home away from home. Over the last two years I have grown to love this school and the people that attend it. I want to make this place the best it can be for all students.
My vision for Engineering students:
I will establish a BCU WHICH ENGAGES ENGINEERING STUDENTS. Giving students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience as well as improve our campus and community.
I will work to EXPAND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AND OUTREACH to engineering students in order to relieve stress and to encourage healthy living.
I will work to expand CLAS services to upper division engineering courses to help students achieve greater academic success.
