Save Student Services!

  • Eighteen undergraduate and nine graduate student fees have not been increased in over a decade, some for two decades
  • ‘Buying power’ of the fees in terms of services, programs, and grants has decreased.
  • To sustain services, the fees need to adjust to inflation (i.e. today’s dollars), ~2-3% per year since originally passed or last point of increase.
  • Adjustments will be covered for high need students via the inclusion of a 25% return to financial aid assessment.
  • Inflationary adjustments would be made annually to avoid further stagnation and reduction in services.

Do you approve placing a referendum on the spring 2026 ballot to adjust for inflation the below listed 18 fees to today’s dollar equivalents (based on the US Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Consumer Price Index for Southern California)

  • You will be able to vote on each fee adjustment individually.
  • Inflationary adjustments to the fees that pass will be covered for high need students by financial aid.
  • Highlighted fees include graduate students

This funding is typically enough to fully cover the cost of these fees for high need students.

**Final official dollar amounts are subject to change slightly and will be confirmed by the campus Budget Office.
